The Falcon in SpeedRunners 2: Confirmed Returning Runner
The Falcon is confirmed returning in SpeedRunners 2 by the official FAQ itself — his original-game history, roster status, and what is still unverified.
FAQ
Is The Falcon in SpeedRunners 2?
Was The Falcon in the original SpeedRunners?
Does The Falcon have different stats in SpeedRunners 2?
The Falcon holds a distinction most of the launch roster does not: the official SpeedRunners 2 FAQ confirms him by name. When a fan asked which original characters were coming back, the answer was: “Falcon is returning, along with Cosmo, Buckshot, and other OG characters.”
The Official Record
- FAQ-confirmed return. The official FAQ names Falcon first among returning originals — the single strongest sourcing a returning runner can have short of a dedicated reveal.
- Launch roster. The official press kit ships The Falcon’s render among the twelve launch runners.
- Part of the “most of the main roster” promise. Beyond the FAQ’s named three, the developers told the community: “We actually plan to bring back most of the main roster. There will be new characters, too.”
The Falcon in the Original Game
The original SpeedRunners (2016) pitched its world as “a city filled with superheroes” where “getting to crimes becomes a competition on its own” — and The Falcon was exactly the kind of cast that premise promised: a falcon-themed speed hero, red helmet and gold goggles, racing a field of rival heroes.
Across the original’s long life — Steam Early Access 2013, full release 2016, consoles through 2020 — the roster grew to include The Falcon alongside SpeedRunner himself, Moonraker, Salem, Unic, Hot Head, Cosmonaut Comrade and more. The sequel’s reveal cycle brought the confirmations in stages: the FAQ’s named three first, then the press kit renders settling the full launch twelve.
What Is Not Yet Verified
- Unlock condition. Not officially documented. Original-game unlocks came through play; the sequel’s per-runner paths will be stated here once verified against the live build.
- Gameplay differences. No official source attributes stats or handling to any runner. The original treated characters as largely cosmetic, and the sequel’s store listing sells “a fluid, high-skill movement system” — skill lives in movement techniques, not the character select.
- Cosmetics. Dozens of unlockables are promised; Falcon-specific sets and paths are being verified.
Why Returning Names Matter
A racing game’s cast is its continuity. Confirmed returns like Falcon — plus newcomers Dart, Vidna and Starlight — tell you the sequel is both an homage and a growth bet: the originals fans raced for a decade, and new faces to carry the next one.
