Unic in SpeedRunners 2: The Unicorn Hero Returns
Unic, the unicorn runner from the original SpeedRunners, returns in the SpeedRunners 2 launch roster - official render, history, and unverified details.
FAQ
Is Unic in SpeedRunners 2?
Who was Unic in the original SpeedRunners?
Does Unic have different stats in SpeedRunners 2?
Unic is the launch twelve’s mythological entry: a broad-shouldered hero with a unicorn horn and a rainbow mane, returning from the original SpeedRunners with an official press-kit render in SpeedRunners 2.
The Official Record
- Launch roster. The official press kit (tinyBuild / Fair Play Labs, via speedrunners.com) ships Unic’s render among the twelve launch runners — see the full roster.
- Design continuity. The SpeedRunners 2 render keeps both signature elements: the white horn on the forehead and the rainbow mane streaming behind.
- Returning character. Unic races in the original SpeedRunners too — its records describe a superhero dressed as a pink unicorn, one of that game’s four default-unlocked runners, skins earned by gaining experience.
The Roster’s Loudest Silhouette
Every fighting roster needs characters you can identify from across the room, and Unic is SpeedRunners’ — a horn and a rainbow mane read at any speed, which matters in a game about reading the screen fast. The sequel’s 1960s-superhero restyling keeps Unic unmistakably Unic while fitting the retrofuturistic cast around The Falcon and Cosmonaut Comrade.
What Is Not Yet Verified
- Unlock condition. Not officially documented. In the original game Unic was one of the four runners unlocked from the start; whether SpeedRunners 2 keeps that will be stated here once verified against the live build.
- Gameplay differences. No official source gives any runner unique stats — the original game was largely cosmetic in character choice, and nothing official contradicts that yet. Races are decided by movement and pick-ups.
- Cosmetics. Dozens of unlockables are promised; Unic-specific sets and paths are being verified.
