Vidna in SpeedRunners 2: The Vampire Newcomer
Vidna is a female vampire runner officially revealed for SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed five days before launch — every verified fact, plus what is still unconfirmed.
FAQ
Who is Vidna in SpeedRunners 2?
Is Vidna a launch character?
Does Vidna have special abilities?
Vidna is a confirmed newcomer of SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed — a vampire runner whose reveal landed five days before the game shipped. This page collects what official sources say about her, and clearly marks what is not yet documented.
The Official Reveal
Five days before launch, the official SpeedRunners account posted: “SpeedRunners 2 arrives on PC & consoles in 5 DAYS! Presenting a brand-new runner: a vampire by the name of Vidna.”
That single sentence settles three facts: Vidna is new (a “brand-new runner”), she is a vampire, and she was in the game for launch day — a reveal that close to release only makes sense for a launch-roster character. The official press kit confirms it, shipping her render among the twelve launch runners.
She is also a named female newcomer of the sequel — joining a returning cast that includes Moonraker, the original game’s first female runner.
Newcomers as a Pattern
Vidna did not arrive alone. Dart, a frog-like runner, was confirmed first; Vidna followed in the pre-launch reveal series. The official account has also shared character concept art for other names, and the developers have said plainly: “We actually plan to bring back most of the main roster. There will be new characters, too.”
With the official FAQ committing to updates every one to two months, the pattern to expect is returning originals plus continued newcomers — Vidna and Dart are two data points, and the launch roster’s pop-styled Starlight is a third; none of them is the last.
What Is Not Yet Verified
- Unlock condition. Not officially documented — whether Vidna unlocks from the start or through play will be stated here once verified.
- Abilities or stats. Vampire theme ≠ vampire mechanics. No official source describes unique gameplay for any runner; the original game treated characters as largely cosmetic, and nothing official contradicts that for the sequel. Races are decided by movement and pick-ups, not character choice.
- Cosmetics. The store listing promises dozens of unlockable cosmetics; Vidna-specific sets are being verified.
