SpeedRunners 2 Secret Achievements: The Four Hidden Map Secrets
SpeedRunners 2 hides four achievements — one secret per map: Museum, Metro, Casino and SS Royale. What Steam’s own data confirms, and where the gem hunt stands.
FAQ
How many secret achievements does SpeedRunners 2 have?
What are the hidden gems in SpeedRunners 2?
Do the hidden gems unlock the secret achievements?
Which secret achievement is the rarest?
Every achievement list has a locked drawer. SpeedRunners 2’s has four — achievements Steam won’t describe until you’ve earned them — and for two weeks after launch nobody knew what they were for. Steam’s own global achievement data ended the guessing: they are map secrets, one per map, and the community hunt for what each map is hiding is the most active mystery in the game.
The Four Secrets, From Steam’s Own Data
Steam’s global achievement API carries every achievement under an internal name — including the four hidden ones. Those internal names are the reveal:
| Map | Steam’s internal entry | Players who hold it | Probable display name |
|---|---|---|---|
| Museum | SECRETS_MUSEUM |
2.4% | Museum Heist |
| Metro | SECRETS_METRO |
2.9% | The “S” Marks the Spot |
| Casino | SECRETS_CASINO |
1.8% | Royal Flush |
| SS Royale | SECRETS_SSROYALE |
1.7% | Free Ticket to Nowhere |
Hold rates are global Steam stats, September 18, 2026 — they drift upward as more players find the secrets, so treat them as a snapshot, not constants.
Two things in that table are fact, one is inference. The per-map structure and the hold rates come straight from Steam’s data — the internal names name the maps. The display-name pairing is semantic inference: “Museum Heist” to the Museum secret is the obvious pairing and the one the community gem lead corroborates; “Royal Flush” reads as the Casino, The “S” Marks the Spot as the Metro, “Free Ticket to Nowhere” as the SS Royale cruise liner. It stays labeled as inference until an unlock is verified.
The same data quietly confirms something else: Metro, Casino and SS Royale exist in the live build — three returning maps from the original SpeedRunners, present in launch data before any official spotlight. The all-maps overview tracks the full launch-eight.
Hidden Gems: What Players Have Actually Found
The hunt’s one concrete find so far is on Museum:
- Players have documented a collectible gem in the Museum B layout — an off-line pickup you can grab mid-race, in one configuration only.
- What collecting it does is the open question: early reports say nothing obvious happens, which is exactly what a hidden-achievement trigger looks like from the inside.
- The gem → Museum Heist connection is the community’s leading hypothesis, not an official statement. The Museum map page carries the full state of play.
No comparably documented gem exists yet for Metro, Casino or SS Royale. That is the hunt’s open frontier — not evidence the other secrets work differently.
What a Secret Actually Requires — Still Open
What the structure does tell you is where to look. A per-map secret means the map itself hides the trigger — a collectible, a hidden route, an unusual interaction — somewhere in its A or B layout. Museum’s gem being B-only is the working precedent: if the pattern holds, each secret lives in one specific configuration.
How to Hunt Them Yourself
- Start at Museum B. It is the proven lead — the one map with a documented collectible and a community already testing it.
- Play both layouts of every map. The A/B distinction matters — Museum’s gem exists in one configuration only, and there is no reason to expect the others are lazier.
- Watch for off-line oddities. A sparkle that is not a pick-up, a room the racing line never needs, a lever outcome that opens more than a shortcut. Secrets hide in the parts of a map a race can ignore.
- If one pops, record the moment. Map, layout, exact action — that is the report format that upgrades this page’s inference tier to fact, with your date on it.
The achievements guide covers the other 28 achievements in full; when an official reveal lands, it will move fast — the patch notes page is where to check first.
